WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR PARTICULAR GOWN/LOOK?
As soon as I discovered Prea James, I was obsessed with how classic silhouettes were reimagined through gorgeous modern design. The first gown I ever tried was the Viola, and after a long journey of trying on more gowns than i care to admit, I saw that the Allure II collection was due to drop, with both the Camille and Mariska dresses, it was love at first sight. I contacted Amare, one of the few UK Prea James stockists, who confirmed that if I visited as soon as they had the trunk show pieces, and placed the order right away, I could have my dream dress just in time (nothing like a bit of drama to add to wedding rush!)
The Mariska was the last gown I tried on and instantly I had that feeling. It just felt exactly like me. The simplicity and elegance of the gown alone, paired with the drama of the Daphne train offered that perfect minimal-maximalist style I was searching for. I always knew I wanted a multi-dimensional dress whereby I could add/take away elements to alter the look to fit various parts of the celebration and the tulle neck scarf was really the pièce de résistance, and a perfect addition for cocktail hour.
